LO is pleased to welcome University of Pittsburgh student Noelle Howard and University of South Carolina student Julie Stas as public relations interns for the summer.

As PR interns, Howard and Stas will assist LO’s PR team with editorial research, public relations writing, copywriting and social media strategy.

Noelle is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in both non-fiction writing and political science with a certificate in public and professional writing. She is slated to graduate in April 2010. She previously served as an intern with the University of Pittsburgh English department during her spring semester.

Julie attends the University of South Carolina with a major in public relations and a minor in hospitality, resort and tourism management. She plans to graduate early in December 2010. Julie is a member of The Carolina Agency, a student run full-service PR firm, as well as a journalist for the school newspaper, The Daily Gamecock. She also serves as a member of The Gamecock Leadership Society (GLS), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), for which she’ll serve as historian in the fall.

LO looks forward to working with Noelle and Julie this summer.
